CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
Role Description
Our client, an organisation operating in the investment and financial services industry, is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Investment Officer to lead the development and execution of its investment strategy and portfolio management. The organisation is focused
on delivering sustainable long-term value through disciplined investment practices and strong governance.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Board and its Committees, the Chief Investment Officer will be responsible for overseeing a multi-asset investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with the Investment Policy Statement, and driving
performance. The role also involves leading the Investment Department and contributing to the overall strategic leadership of the organisation.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Investments, Finance, Business or
relevant field with a CFA Charter
Minimum of 18 years’ experience in investment
management, with at least 10 years at senior
management level
Strong experience in developing and implementing
investment strategies and managing portfolios,
demonstrating strategy management capability
Proven ability to evaluate investment opportunities and
conduct commercial due diligence in private equity,
infrastructure, property and other alternative asset
classes, supported by strong critical and analytical skills
Solid knowledge of financial management, contract
management and performance monitoring, with
sound judgment and decision-making abilities
Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and
engaging stakeholders effectively
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills when engaging
with partners, asset managers and key stakeholders
Excellent communication skills with the ability to
present complex information clearly to executive and
board-level audiences
Experience in driving organisational change and contributing to broader institutional strategy
